Why is this exhibit so special? What makes it newsworthy?

The Mako is able to carry 22.5 kg of payload and is an 8 thruster vehicle. The Mako is unique in having 4 vertical thrusters. Our Chinook vehicle has penetrated as far as 3km and our stock vehicle can now penetrate 2km without custom modifications.

Areas of use commonly include Commercial Dive Operators, Hydro, Port Security, SAR, Hull Inspection, Offshore Aquaculture and Windfarms. Pipe inspection, marine research and potable water are also specialties.

What else will you particularly be featuring on your stand at the show?

The Sea Otter Reel - an inhouse design, as is everything built here at SEAMOR Marine. Our dealers, RS Aqua, also at the show, will be exhibiting the SEAMOR Chinook ROV. We will be integrating the Bravo 7 Function Arm from Blueprint Labs and the Sprint Nav Mini from Sonardyne.

What else newsworthy can you tell us about your exhibits and your company?

The Chinook was recently used in Hawaii for the NTSB (National Transportation and Safety Board) in July this year to locate and document the wreckage of TransAir Flight 810, with the help of our clients, Sea Engineering.
