ET Works

Stand No. Q271

Are you launching or exhibiting a NEW product or service at Oceanology International 2022? Tell us More!

ET Works are pleased to announce our partnership with Seagate Technologies on their new ‘LYVE’ suite. We believe this will bring huge gains around edge data acquisition & storage. ‘LYVE shuttle and array’ have been specifically designed as an OPEX based, hot swappable disk storage system for bulk data. Combined with the ‘LYVE Cloud’ solution, utilising Seagate S3 storage which has the lowest TCO on the market, this delivers a complete data ecosystem.

Why is this exhibit so special? What makes it newsworthy?

LYVE features Seagate’s class leading built-in security, I/O speeds, connectivity, and robustness. Data feeds can be written directly to LYVE shuttles – allowing multi-component data recording at enterprise class performance and reliability. Designed and built for edge workflows, it’s a natural fit for offshore data acquisition, including seismic, sonar, hydrographic / marine, metocean, or other. Seagate’s reliability, performance and security supports the full data acquisition and processing journey from ship to shore, to the data-centre and into Cloud.

Who is this featured exhibit of use to?

The LYVE product line will be of interest to any company requiring data acquisition in remote ‘edge’ environments where a rugged, reliable, and easy to use system is critical. Companies experience downtime due to limitations on existing storage - whether that’s due to size limitations with SD memory cards in drone or ASV surveys, reliability issues with NAS storage for seismic and oceanographic surveys, or physical transfer and ingestion constraints around tape media. The LYVE range includes small form factor ‘shuttles’ for lighter weight requirements where space and power are limited (see NASA and University of Montana case study for drone operations - https://www.seagate.com/gb/en/case-studies/university-of-montana/) through to LYVE ‘arrays’ providing high speed throughput, up to 96TB capacity and RAID support, coupled with full Seagate security. All solutions marry to LYVE Cloud for data sharing, ingestion, & transfer. Simple, efficient, secure, stable, flexible and performant.

What else will you particularly be featuring on your stand at the show?

ET Works will be showing the physical LYVE shuttle and LYVE mobile arrays on stand Q271. Together with support from the Seagate Technologies team we can provide further insight into what the products can offer, discuss how ET Works and Seagate can build solutions to help with customer problems or use cases, and book pilot or demo sessions for future projects. Come and meet with the team to see the hardware and book a trial.

What else newsworthy can you tell us about your exhibits and your company?

ET Works will be there to discuss our full range of support services around IT and data management for offshore and energy. We have nearly 30 years’ experience and domain knowledge across seismic, subsurface and oceanographic data acquisition and our client base includes some of the world’s largest energy and acquisition companies. Come and speak to us about our IT solutions, services, high-performance and super-compute, storage, processing and consultancy that assists our customers in making better, more informed and more efficient business decisions.
