Are you launching or exhibiting a NEW product or service at Oceanology International 2022? Tell us More!

ECA Group launches the R7: The latest addition to ECA GROUP's family of ROVs, combines the compactness and ease of deployment of mini-ROVs with the performance, speed and payload carrying capacity of professional observation-class ROVs.

Fast, modular and easy to deploy, the R7 is designed for civilian applications for all their underwater missions up to a depth of 300 m, including inspection, observation, surveillance, maintenance and object recovery.

The R7 incorporates the expertise accumulated by ECA GROUP over more than 40 years as a supplier of autonomous underwater vehicles, and benefits from the latest developments in digital technology for some of the highest quality images on the market.

The R7 also stands out in terms of ergonomics: its highly intuitive Human Machine Interface and ease of use outperform the previous generation ROVs. It combines power, stability and serviceability thanks to its plug and play system and modular architecture.

Why is this exhibit so special? What makes it newsworthy?

The ECA Group's R7 is a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) which combines the compactness and ease of deployment of mini-ROVs with the performance, speed and payload carrying capacity of professional observation-class ROVs.

The R7 is designed for a wide range of underwater missions up to a depth of 300 m, including inspection, observation, surveillance, maintenance and object recovery.

Its open and modular architecture, its low maintenance need and plug and play system compatible with a wide range of sensors on the market make it a perfect tool at it is:

Modular - Reliable - Highly maneuverable - User friendly - Multipurpose - Scalable

The R7 can also be equipped with a manipulator arm with up to five functions, making it extremely maneuverable. It can easily handle or recover objects up to 2kg.

Who is this featured exhibit of use to?

The R7 is designed for oceanographers, hydrographers, fish farmers and operators of submerged structures for all their underwater missions up to a depth of 300 m, including inspection, observation, surveillance, maintenance and object recovery.

What else will you particularly be featuring on your stand at the show?

ECA Group offers a wide range of unmanned (AUV) or remotely operated vehicles (ROV) to carry out a wide panel of mission subsea: from deepwater exploration, pipeline inspection, to seabed survey and inspection & works. These solutions can be equipped for seafloor mapping with integrated bathymetric, side scan, and subbottom systems, that can be customized upon customer request. ECA Group drone systems provide to gather high-quality imagery and data. Including:

Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for Pipeline inspection
