London, UK – 16th September 2025 – Oceanology International is issuing a ‘Call for Content’ reminder in its drive to bring together the brightest minds in the ocean innovation and technology industries for another wide-ranging curated conference programme next March at London’s ExCeL.

Offering a unique platform for industry pioneers to set the agenda and showcase their expertise in front of an engaged global audience, the Oceanology International (Oi) Technical Conference is renowned for delivering insightful discussion on the latest innovations and the most pressing challenges in ocean science and technology.

The traditional Call for Content represents a crucial component of Oi’s commitment to foster learning and connection as the foremost meeting point for the global ocean technology community, and to reflect the most topical issues impacting a new era of ocean innovation and economic needs.

In line with the new COAST focus launching at Oi26, next year’s conference will expand to include dedicated sessions showcasing the critical coastal and shallow water sectors, highlighting breakthrough developments in coastal protection, erosion control, sediment transport analysis, shoreline stabilisation, and climate adaptation that support sustainable coastal development and ecosystem protection.

Additional key topics expected to feature high on the agenda for in-depth analysis include uncrewed vehicles and vessels, offshore site characterisation, and ocean observation and measurement.

Technologists, scientists, engineers, industry leaders and organisations are invited to submit their abstracts for consideration for the three-day Oi26 programme as soon as possible to secure their place on stage among the elite innovators and professionals shaping the future of ocean science and coastal resilience.

The selected presentations and speakers will feature in the main conference schedule across a diverse series of technical sessions, including slots at the prominent Ocean Futures Theatre, a 200-seat hub on the exhibition floor which focuses on emerging technologies, market trends and strategies for new ocean enterprises.

Mehraj Hassan, Oi26 Conference Manager, said: “The Oi Technical Conference is acclaimed for painting the big picture of what ocean technologies will look like in the future. It is an unmissable opportunity for professionals to make waves in the industry and stand out as a driving force in shaping ocean innovation in the years ahead.

“With only a few weeks remaining until we close the campaign, we encourage anyone who wants to showcase their expertise and knowledge to a captivated audience to respond to our Call for Content now. The successful applicants will join an array of talented, world-class specialists and innovators at the vanguard of the global ocean technology community, whose voices will stand out at Oi26. With the added dimension of the new coastal focus, the conference promises to once again address the most challenging issues facing our industry.”

Prospective speakers for the Oi26 Technical Conference are invited to submit their abstracts of 300 to 500 words by 16th October at www.oceanologyinternational.com/london/en-gb/conference/call-for-content.html. The submissions will be reviewed by a panel of experts in the field and selected speakers will have the chance to present their ideas, research findings and case studies to a global audience of peers, stakeholders, and potential collaborators. Notification of acceptance will be confirmed by 2nd December, with final presentations due by 10th February.

Oi26 is also requesting that industry leaders apply to moderate and curate the individual technical sessions.

Oceanology International returns to London’s ExCeL from 10th to 12th March 2026, uniting 8,000+ attendees and 500 exhibitors from across the globe. This year, the event expands its horizons with the debut of COAST, a sub-section of Oi that hosts exhibitors who can offer attendees solutions to their projects, building on Oi’s commitment to connect the entire ocean and coastal community.
