Oceanology International Extends Deadline for Industry Call for Content
London, UK – 20th October 2025 – Oceanology International, the world’s leading forum for ocean science, engineering and technology, has announced an extended opportunity for industry pioneers and professionals to submit proposals for its renowned conference programme at next year’s event.
The Oi26 technical sessions are promising once again to deliver inspirational and insightful discussion which defines the future of ocean technology and drives real-world change across global marine and offshore sectors.
Following a strong response to its initial Call for Content, Oi organisers have set a new submission deadline of Tuesday, 28th October to provide additional time for more researchers, technologists, scientists, engineers and organisations to send in their abstracts and secure a place on stage in front of hundreds of visitors and attendees at London’s ExCeL.
An elite lineup of esteemed experts and high-profile industry leaders have already confirmed to host, present and moderate during the three-day conference from 10th to 12th March. Participants for 2026 include representatives from the Environment Agency, the MET Office and the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), plus company directors and founders from leading maritime industry associations and companies, such as electric propulsion innovators RAD.
Submissions are welcomed on topics including: Ocean Observation & Measurement; Marine Pollution Mitigation & Prevention; Maritime Domain Awareness; Offshore Energy, Marine Data, Analytics & AI; Underwater Communication & Navigation; Uncrewed Vehicles & Vessels, Hydrography, Geophysics & Geotechnics; Offshore Site Characterisation; Ocean Exploration & Mapping; Ocean Mining.
As the new COAST focus launches at Oi26, next year’s conference will expand to include dedicated sessions showcasing the critical coastal and shallow water sectors, highlighting breakthrough developments in coastal protection, erosion control, sediment transport analysis, shoreline stabilisation, and climate adaptation that support sustainable coastal development and ecosystem protection.
Mehraj Hassan, Oi26 Conference Manager, said: “Whether you want to share fresh perspectives, present groundbreaking data or reveal new innovations, the Oi Technical Conference is a unique platform which enables you to showcase your expertise to an engaged audience. We urge professionals and organisations to submit abstracts, join the mission to understand, protect and harness our oceans - and make sure your voice is heard at Oi26.”
The selected presentations and speakers will feature in the main conference schedule across a diverse series of technical sessions, including slots at the prominent Ocean Futures Theatre, a 200-seat hub on the exhibition floor which focuses on emerging technologies, market trends and strategies for new ocean enterprises.
Prospective speakers for the Oi26 Technical Conference are invited to submit their abstracts of 300 to 500 words by 28th October at www.oceanologyinternational.com/london/en-gb/conference/call-for-content.html.
