GeoAcoustics Ltd

Stand No. N400

Why is this exhibit so special? What makes it newsworthy?

The GeoAcoustics Ltd stand at Oi 2022 is worthy of note as the company has returned to independent ownership after being owned by Kongsberg Maritime and only being products on their stand for over a decade.

Who is this featured exhibit of use to?

GeoAcoustics Ltd products are used for diverse applications for any end-user looking to collect data about the seafloor or the make up of sediments and the geology below the seafloor. This data is acquired using GeoSwath Sonar and GeoPulse Sub Bottom Profilers.

What else will you particularly be featuring on your stand at the show?

The GeoAcoustics Oi 2022 stand will feature products from across our entire technology portfolio, covering bathymetric and side scan sonar as well as sub bottom profilers.

GeoSwath 4 Bathymetric Sonars
GeoSwath 4 offers industry-leading simultaneous swath bathymetry and side scan sonar mapping for shallow waters. The system is designed for diverse applications with a ruggedised model suitable for open-deck operation and a variant designed for USV deployment, as well as a complete solution with GNSS and sound velocity instruments included.

GeoPulse Sub Bottom Profilers
Thanks to reliability, ruggedness, ease of operation and flexibility, GeoPulse has become the survey industry-standard sub-bottom profiler system. Available as standard and compact versions with towed, over-the-side or hull-mounted deployment, as well as a special variant for pipeline detection, GeoPulse continues to deliver the performance demanded by a diverse professional user-base.

What else newsworthy can you tell us about your exhibits and your company?

Since exhibiting at the last Oceanology International at ExCeL in 2018, GeoAcosutics has become an independent company from previous owner Kongsberg Maritime. We are keen to communicate what the future holds for our established technologies as well as showing the industry that as an independent company, GeoAcoustics continues to be at the forefront of sonar technology. We can now offer new levels of agility and flexibility to deliver the exact solutions our customers need, using our bathymetric, side scan and sub bottom profiler products as a foundation. Our new-found independence also gives us complete control of product development, ensuring that we can focus our R&D in areas that will deliver the strongest outcomes for end-users of our products. In this context we have some significant technology announcements coming soon and will be looking to informally gauge customer reaction to what we have in the pipeline during Oi 2022.
