Stand No. K251

Are you launching or exhibiting a NEW product or service at Oceanology International 2022? Tell us More!

PyroScience has launched AquapHOx – the first high-performance, all-in-one optical sensor technology to monitor the status of our Oceans with oxygen and pH sensors. AquapHOx is a revolutionary optical sensor technology for monitoring critical parameters and their dynamics in open ocean, the deep sea and in coastal ecosystems. This new flexible and easy-to-operate underwater sensor platform allows to measure oxygen, pH and temperature down to 4000m. The available sensor portfolio offers unmatched flexibility for multiple applications with the same AquapHOx read-out device, including:

-sensitive measurements of ocean pH on the total scale even under harsh deep-sea conditions with neglectable impact of salinity,
-ultra-fast O2 measurements for profiling and Eddy covariance measurements,
-most sensitive trace O2 measurements in oxygen minimum zones or de-oxygenation events,
-contactless read-out of incubations chambers with integrated sensors and
-profiling over surface structures, in sediments and along gradients at high spatial resolution.

Why is this exhibit so special? What makes it newsworthy?

- one optical read-out device able to measure oxygen, pH, T with multiple sensor formats
- simply exchange the sensor head, choose between different analytes (pH, O2 or T) and sensor formats and deploy the all-in-one logger or transmitter down to 4000m water depth
- pH measurements in deep sea applications with low salinity effect
- pH measurements on the total scale (with high sample interval, reduced pressure-sensitivity)
- ultra-fast oxygen and T sensors with real-time transmitter
-most sensitive ultra-trace oxygen sensors
-compact and easy to use
-low acquisition and maintenance costs
-low manpower and time effort required for installation, handling and maintenance

Who is this featured exhibit of use to?

-oxygen, pH and temperature monitoring in open ocean, the deep sea (down to 4000m) and coastal ecosystems
-for sensitive measurements of ocean pH on the total scale even under harsh deep-sea conditions with neglectable impact of salinity,
-ultra-fast oxygen measurements for profiling and Eddy covariance measurements,
-sensitive trace O2 measurements in oxygen minimum zones or de-oxygenation events,
-in situ incubations,
-oceanography and
-marine R&D

What else will you particularly be featuring on your stand at the show?

At the PyroScience stand we demonstrate the new AquapHOx technology comprising single-analyte shallow-water and multi-analyte deep sea long-term loggers and realtime transmitters. The optical channel of each underwater device is compatible to various formats of optical oxygen, pH, and temperature sensors with proprietary underwater connector. These include sensor caps, screw cap and robust probes, micro- and minisensors and sensors with contactless readout (for integration in incubation chambers), which will be presented together with application examples and case studies.

What else newsworthy can you tell us about your exhibits and your company?

PyroScience GmbH is one of the leading manufacturers of optical pH, oxygen and temperature sensor technology for industrial and scientific applications. Our high-performance and ultra-compact read-out devices (instruments) feature different available sensor formats, sensors for different measuring ranges, and key parameters. This gives maximum versatility for the user: Simply exchange the sensor head, choose between different analytes (pH, O2 or T) and sensor formats, and deploy in a wide range of applications.
