Ocean ICT: Novel Systems Using Ocean Data

14 Mar 2018, 15:00 - 16:45

South Gallery Room 9

Chaired by: Nick Lambert, Maritime Domain Expert, Satellite Applications Catapult; Dr Clare Postlethwaite, Coordinator, Marine Environmental Data and Information Network (MEDIN); & Dr Helen Wells, Business Group Leader, Meteorology and Science, Met Office

A wealth of new ocean data combined with advances in connectivity and data storage is enabling innovative new uses of data which can improve safety and efficiency of marine operations and drive growth of the blue economy. We will learn about a variety of these novel applications and hopefully stimulate some discussion in the audience about future new uses of these data.
