Unmanned Multi-Vehicle Collaboration: Ocean Mapping & Monitoring Applications

14 Mar 2018, 13:00 - 15:00

South Gallery Room 3 & 4

Chaired by: Prof Russell Wynn, Chief Scientist, Marine Autonomous and Robotic Systems, National Oceanography Centre

This session will highlight the growing utility of unmanned underwater and surface vehicles for ocean mapping and monitoring, particularly for deep-sea exploration and cost-effective wide-area mapping and monitoring. The presentations will describe deployments of both multi-vehicle fleets and small portable vehicles, either operating independently or with manned vessels as ‘force multipliers’.
