James graduated from the University of Southampton in 2009, he then joined Fugro GeoConsulting as a Engineering Geologist working in the Engineering Geology and Geohazards department. He produces fit-for-purpose and detailed engineering geological and geohazard desktop studies, geological settings and takes part in offshore site investigations. Typical tasks for projects include: geohazard logging of samples and cores; utilising Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and seismic interpretation packages; generating conceptual cross-sections and 3D diagrams, and researching and interpolating geotechnical soils data. His engineering geological tasks are then integrated with geotechnical data to offshore development areas ready for foundation design. |
