Pat Power

Pat Power is Managing Director of Fugro GeoConsulting Limited.

He has 35 years experience in the Offshore Geotechnics industry ranging from the design and supervision of Site Investigation programmes, through interpretation and reporting, foundation design and installation monitoring and deepwater geohazard risk assessment.

He has also published over 30 papers on these subjects. 

He has been responsible for projects in many parts of the world including the North Sea, Russian Arctic, West Africa and the West Nile Delta. Much of this experience has been oil & gas related but over recent years there has been increased emphasis on renewable energy projects, especially European offshore wind farms.

Most of this time has been spent within the Fugro group but there have also been extended periods of secondment to organisations such as Shell, Fluor and Statoil.

He is currently Chairman of the SUT’s Offshore Site Investigation and Geotechnics Committee.
