Oceanology International Security 2012

Maritime Security
A Global Forum for the Security industry

Intelligence analysts, law enforcement officials, and policymakers have become increasingly concerned about the possibility of future maritime terrorist attacks.

The maritime environment possesses some unique characteristics that, in principle, could make it attractive to terrorist operations, including the extraterritoriality of the high seas and facilities in many parts of the world.
Maritime attacks have the potential to inflict significant harms on persons and property and, in at least some instances, could be highly disruptive to global commerce.

Oceanology International 2012 will feature dedicated content programmes and exhibits to enable organisations to:

  •  Benchmark multiple technology solutions for port and harbour security and vessel surveillance
  • Discover new strategies and technologies that will enable organisations comply with the ISPS code on detecting threats and implementing security measures
  • Learn new solutions to meet the detection and tracking requirements posed by ever increasing threats to both naval and commercial port facilities
  • Ensure 360 degrees of protection to critical infrastructure
  • Compare the latest technologies for achieving force protection
