SEAformatics emerged from a multi-disciplinary R&D project at Memorial University that has developed a novel proof-of-concept seafloor array of wireless marine sensors, that utilize novel power harvesting technology, for use in monitoring seabed processes, including applications such as geological imaging and earthquake detection.
