Title Acoustic Transmitters Description Transmitters come in a variety of sizes to track aquatic animals from salmon smolts to tuna to great white sharks. The transmitters are carried by animals and are detected by VEMCO receivers for use in presence/absence, migration, behavioural and fine scale studies. Sensors can also be added to transmitters to measure ecological and physiological characteristics. VEMCO transmitters can last anywhere from several months to more than 10 years.
