Title APB5 - Automatic Profiling Buoy Description The APB5 is designed for monitoring water quality in coastal waters, fjords, lakes and fish farms. The buoy contains a control unit, CU801B, an Embedded Web Server, a GSM/GPRS/EDGE or satellite (IMARSAT/Iridium) router, a winch, a short range radio for communication with sensor unit, solar cells and battery pack. In fish farm application, the buoy is normally powered from an external supply. The control unit can be remotely programmed to desired profiling frequency and depth. In between profiles, the sensor unit rests above the water inside the buoy. This eliminates biofouling on the sensors. Since the sensor unit requires a wireless RS232 in/out feature, the CTD Multi-Parameter SD208 is perfect for this use. Title CTD - Model SD204 Description With mullti-parameter & auto range facilities The SD204 measures, calculates and records sea water conductivity, salinity, temperature, depth (pressure), sound velocity and water density. Three optional sensors can be added, f. example: dissolved oxygen, fluorescence and turbidity. For optional sensors with several sensitivity ranges, the SD204 has auto range capability. Data are recorded in physical units. Robustness and complete protection from leakage is obtained by vacuum molding the electronic and all other components in solid polyurethane. On/Off-switching is by a magnetic key or from keyboard. A sealed battery compartment contains two replaceable C-cells. In practical operation the battery capacity is sufficient for continuous year-around operation with good margin. The instrument is equipped with a mooring bar with a shackle at each end. Data are recorded in physical units and simultaneously transmitted via an RS232 I/O watertight connector for on-line use. Title Water Level sensor - model TD301R Description With temperature sensor Accuracy: 0.01%, Resolution 0.0001dbar The TD301R is a high precision instrument for recording/ monitoring of water level in the sea, lakes, water reservoirs, groundwater and in rivers etc. Also measurement of temperature is included. The sensing element is a unique pressure sensor with built-in temperature compensation. A feature that maintane the high accuracy (0.01%) over a broad temperature range (-2 – 40 deg C). Atmospheric pressure is directly compensated for by an air pipe inside the cable. The air pipe is vented through a Goretex filter on the On-Land-Unit.
