Designed for versatility and ease of use, the G-882 was conceived to meet the largest number of user needs. The Geometrics Model G-882TVG Transverse Gradiometer system mates the well-proven high performance 882 cesium sensor into a transverse gradiometer array design that provides analytic signal maps and increased target characterization capability. The G-882 is particularly well suited for the detection and mapping of all sizes of ferrous objects (e.g. UXO survey, shipwrecks and downed aircraft, anchors, chains, cables, pipelines, ancient ship’s ballast stones and any other object with ferromagnetic content.) With fast sampling and high sensitivity, objects as small as a 5 inch screwdriver can be readily detected provided that the sensor is within a practical detection range.
