Title Single Beam Profiler Description The Single Beam Profiler was specifically designed with underwater turbines in mind. It was a combined effort between the University of Edinburgh and Nortek to monitor fast flowing currents, in-front and behind a turbine, which involved the use of a range of specially developed single beam profilers. Each profiler is fitted with a pan and tilt, so that they can be independently focused wherever needed. They can even focus two or three beams at one point, thus allowing 3D measurements to be achieved.
