Description
The AquaDopp Current Profiler measures the current profile in water using acoustic doppler technology. It is designed with flexibility in mind. Typical applications include shallow water oceanography, harbour monitoring and scientific studies in lakes, rivers and channels. It can be deployed in small, low cost bottom frames on a mooring rig, on a moored surface buoy or any other fixed structure.The AquaDopp Profiler can also collect wave data (PUV)interleaved with the mean current profiles and can thus be operated as a combined wave and current system. The Aquadopp Profiler can be used as a stand-alone or online instrument.

Our Acoustic Wave And Current monitoring system can measure current speed and direction in 0.5m thick layers from the bottom to the surface. Waves of all varieties are measurable including: long waves, short waves, storm waves or transient waves generated by local ships. The AWACs extraordinary wave performance has largely to do with the optional Acoustic Surface Tracking, this combined with the Prolog unit situated onboard of the AWAC system allows for the direct measurement and output of wave parameters which other bottom mounted systems simply cannot do. The continental is a current profiler designed to get 200-250m range required for an offshore deployment. Two versions are available: the 190 kHz profile model which can measure current profiles up to 250m away and the 470 kHz version which profiles over 100m.They are designed for depolyment in a variety of ways, including seabed mounting on a mooring line, under a buoy or attached to a fixed structure.

Deep water current meters can be used anywhere in the ocean and provide accurate data both to scientists and engineers. The instrument is small in size and has a sophisticated interface that makes it ideal for use as part of an integrated measurement system. There are two Deep Water Current Meters, the 3000m and 6000m. The difference between the two of them is the titanium housing supplied with the 6000m. They are both built to last at great ocean depths and the overall design is the result of a testing and verification process that has included many of the world's largest oceanographic institutions.

Description
With the High Resolution (HR) firmware option, an Aquadopp profiler can be turned into a high-resolution profiler operating at sub-cm scales and with sampling as fast as 8 Hz. Targeted for use in boundary layer studies of the bottom 1-2 m and for low energy environments like lakes and estuaries, the HR-profiler excels at providing flow details that are not attainable with any other instrument.

Description
The Nortek Scour Monitor comprises four downward looking narrow acoustic beams, to provide a
profile of the seabed close to the base of the wind turbine pile. The beams fan out in a single axial
plane, normally orientated perpendicular to the circumference of the pile. Data are recorded
internally, plus being output in RS 232 or RS 422 as required. Changes in seabed (scour) can
therefore be measured in real-time and relayed back from the field, even during storm periods, thus
providing invaluable information for modellers of these crucial changes, as they occur.

Single Beam Profiler
Description
The Single Beam Profiler was specifically designed with underwater turbines in mind. It was a combined effort between the University of Edinburgh and Nortek to monitor fast flowing currents,
in-front and behind a turbine, which involved the use of a range of specially developed single beam profilers. Each profiler is
fitted with a pan and tilt, so that they can be independently focused wherever needed. They can even focus two or three beams at one point, thus allowing 3D measurements to be achieved. The
technology of these single beam systems is more sensitive than
standard profiling systems and they are also able to sample at frequencies up to 2 Hz.

The Vector 3D current meter collects high-resolution velocity and pressure data in rapidly changing environments. Based on processing schemes originally developed for the Nortek Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter, the system electronics integrates unique Doppler velocity measurements with standard sensors such as temperature, pressure, tilt, and compass. State-of-the-art power management and miniaturized electronics combine in a compact single-canister design that is suitable for real time operation or self-contained deployments. In addition to continuous sampling the Vector also supports burst sampling, where data are sampled rapidly for a short period of time before it "sleeps" to preserve battery power and recorder memory.
