The Global Ocean Forum

oi logoOceanology International is the global forum where industry, academia and government share knowledge and connect with the marine technology and ocean science community, improving their strategies for measuring, exploiting, protecting and operating in the world’s oceans.

Oceanology International 2012 is now over. This has been the largest event to date, with over 7,700 unique visitors from over 70 countries. The next Oceanology International will take place on 11-13 March 2014 at London ExCeL.

New free to attend conference programme

ConferenceFor 2012 the Oceanology International conference programme, free to all visitors and exhibitors, has featured seven one-day conferences on the key technology areas which included new sessions in key industry sectors  - Offshore Oil & Gas, Marine Renewables and Maritime Security. The 2012 conference presentations will be available to download from the website shortly.

Vessels and Demonstrations Programme

VesselsThe vessels and demonstrations programme takes place throughout the 3 days of the event and is located on the dockside of ExCeL.

In 2012, ten vessels and a remote controlled boat visited the event. During the course of the event 380 people visited FS Borda and close on 800 visited the smaller vessels to see waterborne demonstrations of their onboard equipment.

Networking Reception and Careers Day

NetworkingOver 7,700 peer professionals from over 70 countries meet new and old contacts at the several networking events that took place at Oceanology International 2012, which kicked off with the Networking Reception, on Tuesday 13th March (17:00 to 19:00), the opening day of Oceanology International.

The Careers Day, on Thursday 15 March, is organised in association with IMCA and IMarEST. This event promotes the wide array of career paths in the industry, and connects students with exhibiting companies' HR experts.
