In addition to the vessels, a number of quayside demonstrations took place during Oceanology International 2012.
These took place either from or alongside the pontoon opposite Dock Edge Door 2.
Blue View Technologies
Demonstration overview:High resolution mutlibeam imaging sonar deployed on a portable underwater tripod system providing a dockside demonstration, with the product relayed to a screen on the jetty. This will be deployed in the water at the pontoon.
Systea Spa
Demonstration overview:WIZ buoy demonstration. Small self-powered buoy designed to integrate the WIX Probe for medium/long term deployment in lakes etc to measure water quality and features. The product will be displayed at the Systea stand. The buoy will be permanently deployed from the side of the pontoon. Call at stand for information.
Seabotix
Demonstration overview:
ROV system demonstration, from the pontoon. SeaBotix Inc. will be demonstrating the new Vectored Little Benthic Vehicle (vLBV) in conjunction with various sonar and positioning sensors.
Unique to the vLBV is the stable platform and diverse sensor suite available including the new rolling HD Sonar ARIS from Sound Metrics.
Technologies from Sound Metrics, Tritech, BlueView and Kongsberg will be demonstrated on the vLBV.
IFREMER
Demonstration overview:
In addition to demonstrating the capabilities of the Haliotis, IFREMER will deploy their new remote controlled water quality monitoring boat, called MOBESENS.
The operation will be conducted from the pontoon.
EGS SURVEY
Demonstration overview:The Sea Echo is chartered by EGS Survey to conduct demonstrations of their C-Boom low voltage seismic system for obtaining data from the geology below the sea bed. Sea Echo will be berthed close to Dock Edge Door 4.
