Carnegie: Irish site investigation

 Australian wave energy technology developer Carnegie Wave Energy Ltd has secured a licence to start site investigation works for a potential 5-MW demonstration project in Irish waters. Carnegie's application for a Foreshore License has been approved by Ireland's Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, Phil Hogan, the company said in a stock exchange statement on Monday. The site is located in County Clare in the Mid-West Region of Ireland and Carnegie expects to begin investigative activities during 2013. The project would use the company's proprietary CETO wave energy technology.
